Elmas Arisoy works as the Regional Procurement Manager for Eastern & Southern Africa at the World Bank, ensuring that procurement strategies are inclusive and supportive of women’s economic participation.
 Elmas Arisoy is Regional Procurement Manager in the World Bank’s Governance Global Practice.

She currently oversees the operational procurement in for Eastern and Southern Africa (AFE) Regions under the Bank financed projects and works closely with the client countries in supporting their public procurement reform activities.

She has been with the World Bank for more than 23 years and has earlier worked in Europe and Central Asia (ECA), East Asia and Pacific (EAP) and South Asia (SAR) Regions.

She has involved in every step of the project cycle of the Bank financed projects and also involved in public procurement work at the country level by leading Country Procurement Assessment Reviews, Use of Country Systems Assessments and on various projects aiming to strengthen public procurement systems.
